...marvelous! A number of Bournemouth based designers and illustrators have (stopped talking about the fact someone else should do it and) recently come together to bring you one of the south coasts newest creative studios, 'This Is'. 'This Is' aim to hold a number of creative events around the south showcasing local artist work in aid of exposing local talent and encouraging networking with in the arts community..and i think it's pretty neat.

The first show ran earlier this month on the 23rd November with the theme 'Nautical Nonsense'. I submitted a design and it seems the guys were diggin it enough to put it forward for the show. My entry is below. Pretty pleased with the out come, something a little out of the way from the character stuff I've been doing lately.

Probably for me one of my favourite pieces to date. This one kind of came out of nowhere, just sat down and drew. I like not knowing whats going on and and just seeing what appears, the out come seems alot more tangible than my other work. More of this to come.

Patterns are rad, especially hand drawn ones, they hold so much more life than all the digital mess. Nice for me to have a go with the watercolour feel, may push this for a tee design some where down the line.

Went pretty nuts with the colour on this one but think i kind of pulled it off. Mixed media wolves, squids, daggers and everthing i was feelin at the time.
